Echo Terms of Use
Terms of Use
1. Scope and acceptance
These Terms govern the Echo app and related services operated by Edwin (“we”). By installing or using Echo, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Separate consent will be requested where required by law.
2. Eligibility
Echo is intended for users aged 18 or older who can comply with applicable law and these Terms.
3. Service features
Echo may provide GPS tracking for runs, walks and rides; distance, duration, pace or speed and estimated calories; workout history, insights, personal records and challenges; local weather and general activity guidance; and optional analytics, diagnostics and notifications. Features may differ by platform and version. Features described as planned are not part of the service until released.
4. Accuracy and safety
GPS, sensor and weather data may be missing or inaccurate because of buildings, weather, networks, power-saving settings or device condition. Distance, pace, speed, route and calories are estimates. KMA forecasts and Echo guidance do not guarantee actual conditions.
You are responsible for checking your health, traffic, surface, weather and surroundings before exercising. Contact local emergency services or a medical professional—not Echo—in dangerous or urgent situations.
5. Not medical care
Echo does not diagnose, prevent or treat disease or injury and is not a medical device, emergency location service or professional training service. Consult a qualified professional about pain, symptoms or whether exercise is appropriate for you.
6. Your records
Detailed workouts are stored primarily on your device. Records can be lost when a device is lost, damaged, reset or the app is removed. You are responsible for backups or exports when such tools are available. Echo does not promise features that are not currently released. Deleting all local records may be irreversible.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use Echo unlawfully, infringe others' rights, interfere with security or operation, or operate a device in a way that endangers anyone while running, walking, cycling or driving. Reverse engineering restrictions do not apply where prohibited by law.
8. Third-party services
Echo uses services such as Google Maps, Firebase and KMA APIs. Their outages, policy changes or discontinuation may limit features, and their own terms and policies may apply.
Echo displays advertising through Google AdMob and Kakao AdFit (Korean-language users only). Ad content is provided by individual advertisers and ad networks and is not pre-screened by us. Tapping an ad may take you to a website or store listing outside the app.
9. Intellectual property
Echo's name, logos, design, software and provided content belong to the operator or their licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the app. You retain rights in your original content and workout facts.
10. Changes and availability
We may change or discontinue features for reliability, security, law, external APIs or product improvement. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes where practicable.
11. Warranty and liability
We use reasonable care but, to the extent permitted by law, do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly accurate or universally compatible service. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence or mandatory consumer rights. Otherwise, liability for unsafe use, device or network failure, sensor or forecast inaccuracies, local data loss and third-party services is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The parties should first attempt good-faith resolution. Mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence remain applicable.
13. Changes and contact
Changes will be posted with an effective date and material changes may receive in-app notice. Contact: helper@gleam.com. Initial version: July 20, 2026.
